<quoted-text>That voided interception only resulted in a field goal -- three points, and Texas won by 10. If it was so bad, why didn't Stoops ask for a review? Riddle me that? The running into the kicker penalty was also a bad call (like the announcers said, the guy should get a Heisman for acting), but OU couldn't capitalize on the extra set of downs. Texas was clearly the better team this year.</quoted-text>

The bottom line is that the Sooners got outplayed in the 2nd half. It happens.

<body>There were numerous non calls. I don't know how many times I saw an OU O-lineman hold or block or shove from behind. Same with UT players.

The non-interception was just a balancing out since the refs didn't call a blatant penalty the play just before that one.

It's all even. OU should bounce back. What I don't understand is why they didn't use the no huddle more often. That first quarter they had the Horns on the ropes.</body>

You got 3 pts from a bad non-call INT and 7 from a drive kept alive on the previous bogus late hit call that both announcers were mocking the zebras for. It wasn't both sides.

Regardless OU had its opportunities and Texas wouldn't quit. Great Game two great teams. But don't act like it was a make-up call on the int. It was just a blown one</body>

<body>1st - They did not call roughing the kicker. It was running into. Although weak he did make contact and the rule is any contact is a flag. It was 4thand 4 so it resulted in 1st Down. But was not roughing.

2nd Texas wasn't called for any 15 yard iffy sideline calls. IT was Lewis for OU 2x both times when McCoy was falling on his own and Lewis tried to catch him.

Despite that it was no excuse for OU had chances to win. Nice play by the UT guy to come from behind and tackle the punter inches short of a 1st on the fake. Stoops in my opinion blew it on 4th and 1and1/2 at the 50 with score 38-35 UT.</body>

<body>Agreed. Up until about four years ago, it would be hard to argue against Stoops being a better *coach* than Brown. But since then, Brown has won four straight bowl games, including two BCS bowls and a national championship. Meanwhile Stoops has lost three BCS bowls and gone 1-3 in bowls overall. So I think Brown has closed the gap there.

However, I think that as far as recruiting goes, they have always been as close to equal as two coaches can possibly be. I think the whole &amp;quot;University of Texas at Norman&amp;quot; tag gets overblown by Longhorn fans. There are a lot of OU alumni in Dallas-Fort Worth so it stands to reason a lot of high school students from that area, athletes or otherwise, would have an allegiance to the Sooners. And it's not like OU is the only school that targets players from Texas: Chase Daniel, Todd Reesing and Matthew Stafford are all from Texas.</body>

<body>That would be true if had not already established possession but he clearly had so it was a case of the ground causing a fumble. Should have been ruled an interception as called on the field.</body>
