Once again I must apologize for the late hour of this posting. Unfortunately, real life has intruded (again) into my recreation time. However, to my credit, I am making the effort.Last week I was perfect in the SEC (although Cupcake Saturday was pretty easy to call), but not so well in the NB3 as Stanford and Ohio State surprised me. With the exception of a couple of games, the entire SEC appears to be taking a week to enjoy some cupcakes. And while that certainly makes for a very dull SEC Saturday for most, there is at least one big matchup that promises to be a major throw-down.For those keeping score, last week I went 7-3. "Better late than never" my Mom always said. So keeping that in mind, I am going to try to post at least an abbreviated version this week. Sorry that this is so late, but things were very hectic at work this week (yes, I actually have a REAL job) and this weekend the Wadester has contracted some type of stomach virus that has had him calling Roy on the big white telephone. I am sorry to report that the Week 12 version of the SEC & NB3 will not be posted due to a death in the family that has necessitated my traveling out of town. Hopefully, things will be back to normal next week. Thanks to all who have expressed their condolences and concerns. Bruce

I would like to thank one and all for the warm "Welcome Back!" that I have received. I have really missed my friends and fellow football fanatics. It is good to be back. If you will notice, I have restarted The SEC And The Next Best 3 blog. My humble thanks to my friend Norka for continuing the blog in my absence. He did a great job! Congrats to the the Gators for their win. Now I hope that they will defend the honor and reputation of the SEC and keep the Crystal Football in the family. I am still very proud of the Tide and what they have accomplished this year. I am already looking forward to next year and see if they can improve on this year. I think we will be seeing the Gators again in the Championship game - perhaps with a different outcome. In the meantime, ROLL TIDE! and good luck to ALL the SEC teams in the bowls!
